The lecture "The Evolution of Gripping" looks at the impact of global and local trends on the (European) market and how this leads to an increasing demand for automated handling solutions. Based on this, it will be derived how these influences affect integrators and machine builders and what challenges they are confronted with.
Based on these new challenges, the question of how these influences affect the current products of a company like J.Schmalz and what future products/solutions could look like in order to be able to offer our customers additional added value will be discussed. As a possible answer to this question, we present the approach with "Solution Kits", which offer a holistic solution for the automated gripping process.
